North Berwick in Bloom

Tomorrow (Thursday 24 March) we welcome Libby Morris to talk about the work of ‘North Berwick in Bloom’, which began in the early 1990s. Inspired by the tradition of local traders decorating the town centre with hanging baskets in summer, a group of volunteers work all year on a wide range of projects to complement the excellent work done by East Lothian Council.

The volunteers aim to improve the local environment by imaginative planting, maintaining high quality hard landscaping, raising awareness of environmental issues and encouraging community involvement.

Our Winter Talks are now held at the St Andrew Blackadder Church, in its chapel area. Entrance is by the side door (facing Tigh Mhor flats) although the St Andrew Street door will be open for the dance group in the hall.

Doors will be open from 6.30pm with the talk starting at 7.00pm. This is our last meeting of the season. From October our meetings will continue to be held at the St Andrew Blackadder Church.
