Our 2024 Exhibition

Discover some of our new exhibits for 2024.

This year we recognise 50 years since the end of North Berwick Town Council with a special set of loaned exhibits, including the ceremonial robes and medal of the Provost and the wig of the Town Clerk.
Find out about the role of the Town Council and how one of its final acts was to form the North Berwick Trust to manage and safeguard 103 acres of land for the benefit of the people of North Berwick:

We have eight model shops on display. These small, intricately designed shop interiors are a delight to view. Discover all the miniature goods and services lovingly recreated by hand portraying Aberlady shops in years gone by:

We have some intriguing new creative artefacts from local artist D Pryke Thomas adding to our exhibit about the North Berwick ‘witches’:

Our Collectors Corner features a personal collection of vintage toy cars, some still in their original packaging:

Other new exhibits for 2024 include artefacts exploring the Coastal Ward’s trade and manufacturing and selected panels from The Scottish Diaspora Tapestry (from July onwards). We are also showing the Catherine Watson painting and artwork for another year alongside our permanent display and popular children’s area.

The museum always welcomes new recruits to join the museum as members, volunteers and board members. For further information visit our website and get in touch to find out more.
