The Life and Times of The Richardson Family in North Berwick, a talk by David Richardson

The Richardson Family arrived in North Berwick before 1840 and, with only a couple of minor breaks, they have lived here ever since. Packed full of strong-willed and somewhat unusual characters, many lived interesting lives both within and without the town.

Join us as David Richardson takes us on a journey through the lives of his family, not least Dr JS Richardson, designer of the War Memorial, excavator of St Andrews Old Kirk at the harbour, saviour of the Town House, the driving force behind the creation of the original North Berwick Museum and Burgess of North Berwick after he was given the Freedom of the Burgh.

David’s talk begins at 7.30pm in the Abbey Church, Church Road/High Street, North Berwick, and is open to all. Admission is free for members and patrons of the Coastal Communities Museum, with a £5 donation requested from non-members.
